Description: A Ritual Ghanta and Vajra Set
The Bell with Handle Cast with Figure wearing 8 Petal Crown Surmounted by Lotus Petals, Beaded Frieze, and 9 pronged Vajra Finial. The Bell Cast in Relief with Seed Syllables surrounded by Lotus Petals. Two Vajra Friezes and a Banner of Ferocious Mask spewing Pendant Jewels. The interior also molded with Lotus Petals, the 9 pronged Vajra with Central vase handle bordered by beaded Rams and Lotus Petal Frieze together with a fitted case. Ghanta 7.75" H , the Vajra 5.625" L Circa 18th Century or earlier. For a nearly identical example, see Christie's Indian and Southeast Asian Sale March 27th 2003, lot no. 138.
