"Now We Can Skate," probably title depicting figures and animals skating at an outside pond. Grandma (Anna Robertson) Moses (1860-1961), New York, was known for naive landscape and rural genre and naive painting. Signed LR, 9.5" H x 17.25" W, sight, 18.5" H x 25.75" W, framed. Painting recently cleaned, frame with losses, has been in the same private collection for 30 years. We had originally listed this as a copy, but after considerable research and some outside help from a knowledgeabel dealer on the artist, we feel we can at least put a strong attribution on the work, and is probably by the artist.
